nola tourist quarter

Published 10 Jun 2013 – Updated 29 Jul 2017

I went to New Orleans and saw the same shit all the other tourists see. I had a fun time, though, so perhaps I will return one day and see the rest of the city.

The last photo, however, was shot on my way home in the Phoenix airport butt-ass early in the morning. My flight into Phoenix was late and I missed my connection, with the next flight home not till 5am the next day. So I had to keep myself awake all damn night so as not to sleep through my flight.

I shot these photos using a Canon Rebel 2000 and Velvia 50 film, using either Canon's 50mm f/1.2 or 24mm f/1.4 lenses.

about Branden Frederick

I am a photographer: I have fun taking photos, and I always have.

I've had a camera in my hand my whole life, a 110 camera as a kid, and the high school's 35mm SLR later. In 2008 I spent six months doing nothing but taking photos and loved it. From that point on I've had my camera surgically attached to my hand (I lie). I went digital in the year 2000, and I came back to film in 2013. My parents tell me my photos are "nice".
