Excelsior to Bernal Heights
Falling in love with the GA645Zi
I returned to San Francisco's Excelsior District for more wandering around and photo making, getting as far as Bernal Heights before running out of time. Along the way, I carried the Fujifilm GA645Zi – what is essentially a medium-format point-and-shoot camera. I had run a few rolls of film through it previously, in San Jose and Los Gatos, and so far had been disappointed. But before making up my mind, I figured a San Francisco outing was required. And boy am I glad I did, because wow did this camera perform well in The City. I ran through 7 rolls of Ilford FP4 Plus film, a medium-speed infinite-latitude black and white film, and it paired brilliantly with this camera. I have never loved such a high percentage of the resulting photos from a photowalk before. I owe the GA645Zi a more thorough write-up, but in the meantime, here's some photos of San Francisco.
