gone to mars
velvia gone bad
In another exciting chapter of shooting junk film bought at bargain prices off eBay, I present you these photos shot
on the surface of Mars on the Niles Canyon Railway. I used the Xpan and shot at box speed (ASA 50), figuring that this old Velvia (the original Velvia) would develop nearly the same as new, since other rolls from the batch had done so. But no such luck.
The film was severely faded and gained a strong red cast. I did my best in scanning to bring out the original image, but these slides were just too far gone.
So now they're here for you to learn from my mistake, since I certainly won't.
