Fujifilm X-E1 in SF

Published 14 Sep 2018 – Updated 27 Sep 2018

A "new" old camera

The Fujifilm X-E1 is a first generation X-series camera, and on eBay they are now available in the sub-$250 range, so I bought one. I am planning a full write-up (why?) later, but here's some photos from my first day playing with it. These photos are from a photo walk, but this is probably this X-E1's last time doing this, since the one thing that was very apparent is how out-classed this camera is by the newer cameras. No, this camera's future lies along the lines of a backup, auxiliary driver.

about Branden Frederick

I am a photographer: I have fun taking photos, and I always have.

I've had a camera in my hand my whole life, a 110 camera as a kid, and the high school's 35mm SLR later. In 2008 I spent six months doing nothing but taking photos and loved it. From that point on I've had my camera surgically attached to my hand (I lie). I went digital in the year 2000, and I came back to film in 2013. My parents tell me my photos are "nice".
